Hunger Task Force is Milwaukee’s Free & Local food bank.

Hunger Task Force believes that every person has a right to adequate food obtained with dignity. We work to prevent hunger and malnutrition by providing food to people in need today and by promoting social policies to achieve a hunger free community tomorrow.

Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin keeps families together and promotes the health and well-being of children. Since opening in 1984, RMHC Eastern Wisconsin has provided more than 40,000 family stays to families from 655 Wisconsin communities, all 50 states, and 37 foreign countries. The House provides families with a place to call home when home is often far away and is supported by more than 550 volunteers.

The Wisconsin Humane Society’s mission is to build a community where people value animals and treat them with respect and kindness.
Our goal is to save lives.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee is a mentoring resource for thousands of local youth. By being matched with a positive adult role model, our Littles are expanding their horizons and realizing their future potential. We have an immediate need for more volunteers to step up and mentor a Little on our wait list. By participating in the 12 Bars of Charity, you’re helping to increase our impact on youth in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties. Visit to learn more!

We operate on a foster and volunteer based, not for profit model, and focus on dogs facing euthanasia due to their placement in high kill shelters, overpopulation, abuse, neglect, or owner surrender. We do not discriminate against any dog, and strive to rehabilitate and rehome every animal we can. We take pride in carefully screening every potential foster home and forever placement through a comprehensive approval process. We educate every potential match on the needs, requirements and obligations involved with bringing a new dog into the home, as well as providing a community for support after adoption. All dogs we rescue receive full medical care, including spaying or  neutering, microchipping, and any vaccinations, treatments, or medications they may need, thanks to our team and network of veterinarians. While awaiting adoption, our dogs recuperate and socialize in one of our many nurturing, well supported foster homes.

Driven by our mission to solve hunger and our vision of a hunger free Wisconsin, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is bringing more people together around the table to solve hunger. We are the leading hunger-relief organization in the state, operating food banks in Milwaukee and the Fox Valley.

Our mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health

About the Event

The 12 Bars of Milwaukee was created this year to help local charities build awareness, attract local members, and raise money for their organizations. In addition, we aim to drive revenue to the local bars and restaurants. We are expecting to raise over $7,000 for local Milwaukee charities! When you purchase a ticket, $10 goes directly to the charity you sign up under.
