CHOOSE YOUR TEAM:

Austin Pets Alive! is not your average animal shelter. They maintain comprehensive, innovative programs designed to save the animals most at risk for euthanasia. Austin Pets Alive! has created programs to save the key demographics of pets that haven’t been making it out of the municipal shelter alive.

These key groups of animals included puppies with parvovirus, unweaned kittens, cats with ringworm, dogs and cats in need of additional behavioral support and/or additional medical attention. By developing comprehensive, innovative programs that targeted these key groups of animals and pulling directly from euthanasia lists, Austin Pets Alive! has saved more than 25,000 dogs and cats since 2008.

Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas is the only dedicated freestanding pediatric facility in the region. Children are cared for with a family-centered approach that keeps patients close to loved ones at all times. And our dedicated multidisciplinary team of pediatric specialists and nurses are all committed to a single purpose: making your child feel like a kid again.

Kids are different and so is Dell Children’s.  Children are not small adults.  They have unique healthcare needs.  Statistics show that children heal faster when treated in a children’s hospital.

We Are Blood (formerly The Blood Center of Central Texas) has drawn Central Texans together since 1951 to provide and protect the community blood supply.

We Are Blood is the only truly local blood services provider. By supporting We Are Blood and inspiring people to donate locally, you can ensure that the people you care about the most—family, friends, neighbors, coworkers—always have access to life-saving blood when they need it.

For over 50 years, Caritas of Austin has been a turning point in people’s lives. Each year they serve thousands of families and individuals who do not have a stable place to call home. Through comprehensive, relationship-based services, Caritas of Austin turns crisis into stability and empowers people toward the life they want.

They believe in a “housing-first approach” in efforts to end homelessness. We know that people must first secure a stable living situation before they can address other areas of crisis in their lives. Once clients establish stable housing, they can focus on opportunities for employment, education, food, physical and mental health services and building a network of support.

Millions of people around the world live with type 1 diabetes (T1D), a life-threatening autoimmune disease that strikes both children and adults. There is no way to prevent it, and at present, no cure. JDRF works every day to change this by amassing grassroots support, deep scientific knowledge and strong industry and academic partnerships to fund research.
JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Our strength lies in our exclusive focus and singular influence on the worldwide effort to end T1D.

There are an estimated 6,000 people living with HIV and AIDS in Central Texas. Approximately one in five are not aware of their status. When people find out they are HIV-positive, they are more likely to get medical care, slowing the progress of the disease, and are less likely to transmit the virus.

The mission of AIDS Services of Austin is to enhance the health and well-being of the community and people affected by HIV and AIDS.

They are Austin’s leading youth development agency – a 501(c)(3) non-profit, locally governed agency devoted to providing hope and opportunity to all kids, especially those who need us most, between the ages of 6 and 18. They provide our kids with the opportunity to belong, to succeed, to serve their communities, and to share their voice with the world.

Every day, through proven successful programs and meaningful relationships with staff and volunteers, 2200 Club kids are generating amazing results for our community.

Alzheimer’s Texas provides free information, assistance and support for those with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Whether you are a caregiver, person with dementia, professional, or member of the general public, our trained staff can answer your questions.

Most people are unaware that Congenital Heart Defects (CHDs) are the most common birth defect in America, affecting approximately one in one hundred, or 40,000 newborns each year. CHD’s are responsible for one third of all birth defect-related deaths and sadly 20 percent of children who make it through birth will not survive past their first birthday. Although a child is born every 15 minutes with a CHD, research continues to be grossly under-funded in America.

As the country’s leading organization solely committed to CHD research funding, The Children’s Heart Foundation dedicates itself to bringing health, hope and happiness to children and families impacted by a CHD.
